Extended DMX Formatting

1/14/2008

AsianSignals extends DMX formatting to expose dimming, strobe effect, and zoning control...

DMX is a popular lighting control netwok topology.   AsianSignals has impliemented DMX with extended byte definitions to include encapsulated functions.   The AsianSignals 120/270 controller impliments DMX commands for mathimatical dimming and strobe effects.

Placing dimming and strobe commands in the byte stream reduces the difficulty in creating these effects on the DMX control equipment.   A customer can now simply set a mixed color and dim it by percentage without any mathical cacluations on the front end.    The same applies to a strobe effect.

We also have created preemptive and non-preempitive zoning commands.  These will help a customer design and control zones of lighting with just a single DMX input channel.   Our DMX format exposes 9 variations in formatting; each in turn adding functionality in incremental steps so a customer and select the format and features they want to impliement.

Asian Signals is an Asian based American managed design and production facility offering product in the LED lighting market place.
